GOLF ON THE ROCKS

Director and long time friend of Frank Dom Bridges has conjured up another intriguing short film in between paying gigs. He's always had a fairly unhealthy obsession with Neil Diamond and has now finally found an outlet for it. Watch the film here.

SLIDESHOW TITLES (pre-Powerpoint)

No.1 in an occasional series of Frank's Ephemeral Findings
I came across these rather charming title slides whilst rummaging through Bill Pepper's now-defunct attic darkroom recently. The two children smoking on the 'growing up' slide are particularly delightful. Who still remembers the family slideshow...the darkened room, the hilarity of a slide inserted upside down, the satisfying clatter of the carousel? Apparently it's all done digitally these days often with added Ken Burns effect, whoever he may be.

How not to be killed

Informational graphic of the week goes to this government leaflet. Showing how to ensure you are crushed by a lorry when cycling in three easy steps.

New Darts

Our darts were looking abit sorry for themselves, so we hit up darts corner.
I'm rocking a 2 tone look with yellow/black flights, gold and chrome stem and kept the striped tip. I definitely felt the difference because I kicked ass today.

Even though Rick has slipped recently down from being 'the guy that takes the fun out of playing because he always wins', he's decided to keep it real and remain influenced by the trusty Black Panther.

Andy however has stepped it up a notch and gone MENTAL!

rick jams with bedders!

Frank towers had a bona fide muso in the house recently as we were visited by Mark "Bedders" Bedford, bass player with pop legends Madness. After business was concluded, it seemed only right to whip out the guitars and a rendition of Little Feat's Willing ensued, only slightly marred by poorly-tuned guitars and Rick's "red-light fever" in the presence of rock royalty!

LONdon to Brighton

Well, a bit late perhaps, but Team Frank once again completed the BHF London to Brighton Bike Ride. As usual the day was not without incident... Jon G and I got a bit lost on the way to the start...Dan had a puncture before he even got to the start... and there were mass hold-ups due to some sort of horse-box collision. Anyway, despite two minor crashes amongst the team, it was a jolly good day out. Unfortunately the tripod head on my handlebar mounted "Andy-Cam" snapped off due to excessive vibration before we'd even passed Finsbury Park, hence the lack of a Team Frank photo story this year. That's me in a well-framed shot wearing a World of Payne t-shirt (which people commented on frequently during the ride). Many thanks to everyone who supported us!

Nice and greasy

We've recently uploaded some more greasy spoon / cafe images to our Flickr page. It's definitely a labour of love scanning in all those wonky Lomo LC-A shots of yesteryear, but the Crap City Collection will be expanding again soon with the addition of 'Coin-Op' launderettes. Watch this space...
